    “For friends that come together to reach for better,” could be a slogan for many positive products on the market. Would you ever guess it to be for a beer, such as Michelob Ultra? Michelob was originally an all malt beer when it was first brewed in 1896. However, for the first time, Michelob Ultra will also be brewed with 100 percent malt for a complex flavor while still being a “superior light beer,” according to www.anheuser-busch.com. Michelob Ultras unique ad and commercial both attempt to get their target audience to purchase their new and healthy beer; they so do so by using different techniques. The advertisement was more provocative and captured men’s attention with lust and also capturing women’s attention through envy. While the commercial was more realistic because it portrayed everyday people and provided information that supports the products claim. There were similarities to both approaches as well. Both depicts the target audiences as people who are conscious of a healthy lifestyle. At the same time they continually advocate that their light beer has a superior taste. By doing this their target audience is very broad because of how it can appeal to many consumers for different reasons. Michelob Ultras has an interesting approach and some could even think unrelated.
