    Kaposi’s Sarcoma Kaposi’s sarcoma is an integumentary cancer that affects the cells that line lymph or blood vessels; this causes reddish brown or purple lesions to appear on the skin. This cancer is usually found in HIV patients or older Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and eastern European men. The most telling sign of kaposi sarcoma is the dark lesions that form all over the skin; mainly on the face, limbs, mucous membranes, and in the groin area. These lesions are actually individual cancerous tumors that can vary in color from red to brown to purple. A few other symptoms consistent with this disorder are difficulty swallowing due to lesions on the inside of the mouth or the esophagus, painful swelling of the arms and legs, and severe coughing or shortness of breath.
