    Juggling

Prior to taking this class I had never attempted to juggle anything. For this project I will be juggling three small homemade bean bags. The only activity I have participated in that is remotely similar to juggling is paddle ball. The motion of hitting the ball up is not similar to the motion of throwing beanbags but the need to gage how hard and in what direction you hit the ball is similar to gaging the toss of the beanbag. I am not very good at paddle ball. I can usually only hit the ball up once or twice before having to reset. Hopefully I will have better luck with the beanbags. Juggling has always been very interesting to me. I am very excited to not only learn how to juggle, but how to do it well. During our practice times in class I was able to throw and catch three scarves a couple of times before dropping one. I mastered the rhythm of throwing the scarves. Unfortunately, juggling scarves does not translate perfectly over to juggling bean bags. The rhythm is the same for both, but the hand and wrist motions are entirely different. I typically perform closed skills better than I do open ones. I like to able to use feedback during the movement rather than…

The speaker describes the Juggler’s abilities using images of divine power…

    Beat Juggling Analysis

The process of ‘beat juggling’ uses the breaks between two records that are exactly the same. DJ Q-Bert, who never stopped learning new styles from his mentors, as well as on his own, mainly founded this process. The two records themselves are exactly the same. To put it another way, if DJ Q-Bert were using Record Sample A on one side, the left, of the turntable, he would also place Record Sample A on the other side, the right, of the turntable. In a moment, the DJs uses the fader, which is…

    1. What are the inherent problems involved in juggling coursework for initial teaching preparation with full-time teaching responsibilities and life outside of school and work? (CC9S7) Unfortunately, or fortunately in some cases, the main problem with juggling other things alongside full-time teaching responsibilities, is time. In Richard Wilbur poem, “The Juggler,” a juggler’s profession is not just to entertain others, but to serve as a way of escapism for many. Vivid imagery and various examples of figurative language are used to describe the juggler as someone who is capable of bending reality, while also revealing the speaker’s belief that simple, trivial tasks can be a liberating break from their mundane lives. To begin, the speaker describes and exaggerates the effect the juggling has on the audience by saying…

track should be played next and must maintain the rhythms rolling while also adding their own style of sounds to the track as well. The selector is able to do this fluidly with their skills they must possess. The largest skill they must possess knowledge over is their decision making skills and their ways of knowing which track needs to be played next in order to keep the rolling rhythms. That would be the perspective of the selector. The audience on the other hand sees the selector focused on…

If I were to ever teach juggling there were a few things that I learned from my experience that I believe could help me to teach others to juggle. First off, if the people learning to juggle were just a little younger, then it could be easier for them to pick up. Kids around the age of eight to ten…
