Mary and the children. The sun danced across the sky and got really small and then really big. People were able to look at it without hurting their eyes or squinting. Thousands of people were witnesses to the event and now the apparition site is another pilgrimage site for millions of people with faith in Mary. The third major apparition of Mary that occurred was in Guadalupe, Mexico. An older man named Juan Diego was walking through the Tepayac hills when he encountered the Blessed Mother. She told him to go find the bishop and have him build a church on the very spot that they were standing on. When Juan Diego went to the bishop, he did not believe in what Juan Diego was telling him. The bishop needed a sign. After a few days, Juan Diego returned to Mary and told her what happened and she asked him to go and collect flowers on a hill and then show them to no one but the bishop. So Juan Diego collected the flowers and when he went to open up his tilma to the bishop, beautiful roses fell from his tilma. However, the bishop was brought to his knees by something else. Laying on Juan Diego’s tilma was a portrait of the beautiful Blessed Mother. To this day, art examiners are completely clueless on the method used to create the portrait. Needless to say, the church requested was built and now the site has become yet another pilgrimage place for people all across the world. Conclusion Each of the Marian apparitions have inspired faith and given hope for the world. Mary is now a…
