John Cassavetes

When watching John Cassavetes’s film, Shadows, one of the first elements that intrigues me the most is the cinematography. He does an excellent job of telling the story not so much through the story being told, but the way it is told in the different shots. A lot of directors and cinematographers often do not have the same vision when it comes to telling the story of the film, but both Cassavetes and cinematographer, Erich Kollmar, take it to the next level.
