Manisha where do I began? I suppose I’m sorry is where to start. I am so sorry. Since, I don’t have your number I do not know how to contact you because you seem not to speak to me in person. I said a lot of things last year, I made a lot of mistakes and in the end, it was down to me being weak, alone, scared and hopeless... I blame myself for every moment that caused you pain. For this, I'm truly sorry... I know I've said that word a thousand times but out of everyone in this life that I've…

other than his picture online. I know you can post any picture you want. I thought he was gorgeous in those pictures. He pulls up at the gas station about three minutes after I got there. He is this tall 5’10”, gorgeous in the face, light brown hair, brown eyed man, that bends down to me in my car and says, “Hi, how are you? Are you ready to go back to my house; it is out in the country a little ways?” I knew when he leaned into my car, that he was the one for me. I know he is very…
Stories about survival have been popular since, virtually, the beginning of time, as survival is the most important and primitive aspect of human lives. It is the force that drove our evolution and refined us to our current stature today, so it is no surprise that we are amused by tales of robust endurance against the most severe circumstances. The stories The Inheritor and Side Bet are two prime examples of our fascination with these types of tales, but, when comparing the two stories of…
My heart thumps like a bass drum in my ears as I run. I can barely breathe but I don’t stop. I reach my car, crank the engine and put my foot to the floor. Driving through the streets of Brisbane to the highway, I start to think over Alice’s and my relationship. “You should come over this weekend. We can work on our project.” I messaged her late at night. “Okay, I’ll ask my parents.” Alice answers quickly before confirming she can. On Saturday morning, she arrives at my house. We work on our…
Sartre is well known for his work in developing existential thought. The question being addressed in this paper is one that asks what Sartre meant by a “monstrous freedom.” In other words, in terms of existentialism, what did this idea of freedom have to do with the way in which human behavior is explained? In order to understand Sartre’s idea of existentialism, then this question of monstrous freedom must be addressed. One author wrote, “there is an infinite gap between the past and the…
Chastity laid the journal on her lap when she heard the tiny footsteps of her daughter, and then the screen door creak open. Patience was carrying her doll Sue by the arm, her light golden brown hair slightly ruffled from where she had slept on it. Wide eyed and grinning, she quickly ran over to the small table, and then dropped to her knees in front of the jar. “Mommy watch the roly-roly baby buggies?” asked Patience, as she brushed a few strands of hair from her face. “Yes, sweetie, I did,”…
Everyone has that one thing in life they enjoy doing. For me that is spending time with my horse, Sparkle. I could spend hours with her every day. I look at Sparkle as my best friend more than I look at her as a horse. So, the day I jumped on her bareback I thought nothing of it. Sometimes even simple decision like that are the ones that you have to pay for. What I find important is that you are always learning from those decisions. Even today I am still learning from that decision even if it…
