    The most compelling character is Jake Roberts, a crack user who has survived a chilling family legacy of rape and murder only to raise a daughter he does not see for years at a time. The camera captures a remarkable reunion between father and daughter that could have been scripted for a Lifetime movie of the week, except that it is sadly authentic. The paternal disconnect of another order characterizes Mick Foley as he subjects his wife and two small children to witnessing a match in which his head is beaten to a bloody pulp. A lovable person from East Setauket who clearly adores his kids, Foley is obviously prompted by some sincere notion of fatherly pride and family cohesion. Foley, who wrestles under the name "Mankind," is shown risking serious injuries in his wrestling bouts, much to the horror of his family "Maybe it would be better if Dad did something else," one of his young daughters says. But Blaustein’s discussions with the wrestlers and their families, who willingly divulge themselves while the camera 's running. The film is detailed and deeply personal, if not downright invasive. For example, Roberts, a fallen professional wrestler, who followed the self-destructive pattern by an ill-fated rock star. Along with all kinds sex, Roberts became addicted to cocaine. The drug not only lessens the pain of Roberts’ injuries, the cocaine also assisted him to get hyped up for the fans. Blaustein 's captures the response of both Foley and Roberts’ families.
