In Lee’s article, Reconsidering Conflict in Exhibition Development Teams, the team structure was egoless. An egoless team structures “encourages a high level of interactivity and communication among project members” (Frame, chapter 3 pg. 91). There is no team leader, decisions are made by the team, and the project product reflexes inputs from all the team members. This is the ideal of an egoless team structure. In the case of Dogs Group, although the structure was egoless, certain members of the team could not agree on what roles the members should have and this led to conflicts between those members who followed the egoless team structure (exhibit designers and educators) and those that wanted to follow more traditionalist mode of team structures (curators). One example of the Dogs Groups’ egoless team structure is that that there was no defined leader in the group. In an isomorphic structure the leader works as the integrator for the group, in a specialty team structure the leader has high level of responsibility, but low level of authority and in a surgical team structure there is charismatic leader that calls the shot. Each of those three structures has strengths and weaknesses but they have one thing that an egoless team structure does not, which is a leader. Although there was a manager in the group (Evan), he made it a point to state that the traditional way of creating exhibition had change and that those who favor the old mode where stuck in the ways of the past.…

through the distribution of wealth throughout the state or in other words serving the capitalist class. (Dickovick &Eastwood, 2016) This is seen through past history of colonialism in order to achieve free markets in Europe and fulfill capitalism. permitting access to society’s perception of how a company should look or be structured. Considering there is a limiting variety in society’s perspective of required roles it forces organisations that want greater legitimacy all to have the same or similar structure. Terminology describing this phenomenon is “isomorphism”. Developed by DiMaggio & Powell (1983) “isomorphism is the likeness between organisations through procedures and assembly by imitation or autonomously inside the same…
