a mystery. The dating shows H. floresiensis arrived over a million years ago by the tools they left behind. The hominins had a minimal cranial capacity, yet they were able to live and prosper until recent times. The Indonesian Island of Flores is a tropical Sunda Island with a history of unusual hominins. In 2003, a team of Australian and Indonesian scientists excavated a hominin in Liang Bua Cave on Flores, Indonesia. The female hominin was extraordinary because of its small size. The female, LB1, was about one meter tall (~3.28 feet) and dated to 18,000 years old (Wong 2012). Homo floresiensis was the name given to these tiny hominins. The small size was thought to be insular island dwarfism, even though no other humans have been known with this condition, however many mammals have exhibited island dwarfism. Flores, Indonesia is one of the Lesser Sunda Islands. Sea levels were much lower by 96 meters or 314.96 feet, 700,000 years ago (Explore, n.d.). Several events happened around the same time as the lower sea levels. Mount Toba erupted in Indonesia with, what we can assume, a large tsunami. The Long Valley volcano erupted with a huge amount of ash (UCSB). Ash from either eruption could have further filled in parts of the Sunda Island sea route long enough for the hominins to walk to the island of Flores. The tsunami could have swept the diminutive people out to sea, surviving by hanging onto pieces of flora. There is no indication of any boats in the excavations of…

Two hours left before I administer the last set of microinjections. I loaded a set of Kepler’s works to play, as I meditate. If I touched his mind before, I should touch it again. Maybe Brahe’s nose will work as a meditation point. Imaging planets with noses should emphasize the motion and remind me of Kepler. -- How did the experiment go last night?
