    Education is important and extremely valued within American society, although students with disabilities have struggled with getting the opportunity to have the same fair, appropriate education as their nondisabled peers. In 1975, the Education for All Handicapped Children Act (EHA) was enacted and public schools began to provide accommodations for students with disabilities.
