On December fifth, 1914, a man stood on the deck of a ship with twenty-seven other men, heading towards Antarctica to make history. Who was this man, and what was he planning on doing? Sir Ernest Shackleton was the leader of the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition. The goal of this expedition was to make a journey to the center of Antarctica and across the other side of the continent, something that had never been done before in history. Little did they know, the journey would not unfold how Shackleton had planned, and that the twenty-eight man crew would have to use all of the courage they had to overcome their predicament.
