The car was ready for our trip to Emerald Isle North Carolina. My brother Will and I argued on who would sit in the “hump” in the car. The “hump” was the tightest, most cramped and the seat that can’t adjust in the middle of the two awesome window seats. Will even tried to get my older brother Danny who was almost 15 to sit in that seat! “I have been sitting in that seat for 13 hours for 14 years! No way Will!” Danny complained. Annoyed, I held my breathe and volunteered to sit in the awful…

Initially, the company’s catalog consisted of six bow tie designs in a one-page catalog. Now, after more than 2 decades in the business, the store expanded its collection to include neckties, cummerbunds, pocket squares, ascots, cravats, neckties, boys’ ties and scarves. While most of the items are hand-made in Vermont, others…

Annoyed, I listen to the loud patter of rain on the roof. Each drop only a tap, but together they make a blaring noise. It's the first time that I have left the U.S., this time to go to Belgium, and not only is it raining, I'm also horribly sick. With snot dripping from my nose; a box of seemingly useless Kleenexes to the side of the bed, the seconds tick by one after the other. Each minute seeming as long as, or longer than, an hour. I lie in bed, with my eyes closed, but sleep does not come,…

Going to Canobie Lake Park “Why did I agree to this? Why?” I was freaking out. I had to get off! I grasped my seatbelt, trying to get out. “Lemme out!” “Lemme Out!” And then, we were off. “Noo!” We pulled into the parking lot. It was very hot outside, and I could see water rides nearby. They looked so cool and refreshing. “I want to ride that one” I said, pointing at a nearby ride. “No, that one” my brother said, pointing at a roller coaster. “No way am I riding a roller coaster” I…

The last ice age happened 2 million years ago until 10,000 years ago. At this point, North America is at its normal position, north of the equator. The glacier that covered the Ice Age was the Laurentide Ice Sheet. Before the Ice Age, there was a valley called the Hudson Valley. During the Ice Age a glacier scraped through the rock, which gouged out 240 meters of rock. The sediments got removed from their previous location and deposited in a huge pile, a terminal moraine in Long Island. The…

The first thing I noticed when I walked into Jasmine Middle School was how big the eighth graders were. I knew that in middle school the sixth graders would be the babies, but it was still kind of a shock at how big eighth graders really were; well, at least I hoped the kids I was looking at were eighth graders. If the group of kids hanging out by the lockers were seventh graders, then eighth graders must be huge. Luckily, after looking around for a few seconds, I spotted my best friend,…

    Mexicue Research Paper

    • 253 Words

Mexicue is a Mexican restaurant hence, the "Mex" at the beginning. It has its very own modern/vintage type of look which is not terrible. I ordered Poke (po-kay) just to taste the twist this restaurant made on the dish and it contained tuna, avocado, brown rice, mango, watermelon radish, creamy chipotle and mint. The tuna sort of had this melt in your mouth feel however it was bland so I added chipotle sauce on top and made it way more appetizing. The watermelon radish is not one of my favorites…
