I remember believing by faith God would give me the ability to deliver Micah naturally. When I finally went into labor, I was excited. Ignorance is bliss! Anyhow, I had a long and difficult labor. When it came time to push, I was exhausted. I recall after pushing for over three long hours, I said, “I quit!” The doctor said, “You can’t quit, it is too late. Push, Donna, you can do it.” I remember thinking this is crazy, but I did not quit and pushed. Within minutes it was over. I learned a lot from the experience. As a matter of fact, you can do whatever you put your mind to – no matter how painful or difficult. You can do it! On May 1, 2006, I had the best day since surgery in December 2005. The sun was out when I woke up. It was a beautiful day. If you have ever dealt with pain, then you understand the weather affects a body greatly. My neck was strong and my pain was minimal.
