On Saturday 12/10/2016 at about 2118 hours, Security Officer Omar Alonso was approached at our E.D. Security Office window by Nurse Cindy Rodriguez-Cruz and told that the patient in E.D. #34, Hiram Jimmy Carter (DOB: 04/24/1937-FIN# 86569141), was now missing his wallet. Officer Alonso reported to E.D. #34 at 2120 hours, and spoke to the patient and his grandson who stated that the last time he remembered seeing his wallet was when he was sitting in the E.D. Lobby before being called inside to be seen by the Doctors and Nurses. He was given a Witness Statement form to fill out which Officer Alonso, collected from him at 2132 hours and then he walked them out to the lobby before taking his next assigned call. The grandson, Michael Claw, and discharged patient Hiram Carter, then went back to the lobby area where they had been sitting to look for the wallet again. They noticed a male Hispanic, named Anderson Galarza, was acting suspicious looking at something underneath a blanket. They asked Mr. Galarza if he had seen a wallet in the area and he produced the wallet they were looking for from underneath the blanket on his lap. Mr. Galarza had apparently taken all the cards inside the wallet out and according to the owner, Hiram Carter, the money he had reported that was in the wallet, ($111 dollars in cash), was now missing. That is when Alonso got a call from dispatch asking for a telephone extension he could be reached at. The call at approximately 2140 hours was from Mr.…

In William Wordsworth’s autobiographical poem, The Prelude, the speaker, who in this case is also the poet, encounters unfamiliar aspects of the natural world. The Prelude: Wordsworth’s Mental Conflicts and His Imperfect Solution The Prelude, an autographical epic poem by William Wordsworth, describes not only a journey of the author’s life and experience, but also a process of how he “fixes the wavering balance of” his conflicted mind, by seeking comfort in the “spots of time,” or, in other words, his memories of childhood and nature (Book I, L622; Book XII, L258). Just as Martin Gray notices, “The poem is itself a therapeutic exercise” (Gray 62). To…

Although Wordsworth and Dunbar appear to call on their deceased elders, Milton and Douglass respectively, to solve their different woes with society, they instead seek refuge in a plea for living person to solve their modern problems using old wisdom. The speakers in both poems differ in regards to the reason behind their motivation to call their late role models. In the poem “London, 1802,” William Wordsworth agonizes over the idea that morals and creativity in England have deteriorated.…
