My first stop on the hunt for government offices and or buildings in Snyder is the Scurry County Courthouse. I had no problem finding this building due to how it's located in the center of town and all the main roads lead to the "square" where the Courthouse is located. The buildings address is 1806 25th street. Lainey, Ellis and I met at the building so we could take pictures for each other around 5:42 p.m. and there was no one in the parking lot except our own cars, but there was a bit of business due to people getting off work. The Courthouse is surrounded by various boutiques and a business that serves ice cream and coffee. Directly in front of the Courthouse is the Memorial Roll of Honor which encompasses a list of troops who have sacrificed their lives for our country who have lived in Snyder. Last weekend was Memorial Day, so our town honors these troops by placing white crosses all around the building which are still there to this day. If you're looking at the entrance of the building, on the right side are located two historical markers: "County's First Law Men" and "Canyon Reef Oil Field". While looking to the left there is a White Buffalo Statue. This statue is significant because it symbolizes the buffalo who used to roam the land which is present day Snyder. There is also a gazebo located behind the main entrance of the Courthouse. The building is mostly made out of granite, is in really good condition, and has a unique look to it. It contains the administrative…

culture, using the real problems and relatable issues that teenagers face. This film is one of the first films I’ve viewed which portrays an Asian culture as what it truly is. He’s the narrator and the one facilitating what is being told and what isn’t. The camera follows him wherever he goes, and when it isn’t on him, it’s around where he is. While Norma Desmond is a very interesting character, she doesn’t have much of a character arch, she just seems to get crazier and more delusional as the movie goes on. As a character, you question Joe’s actions much more than you would Norma’s. The story being told is how Joe Gillis has been changed by Hollywood, his own…
