Jesus was a man. Jesus was born into a poor, working family in Nazareth. Jesus was born in a time that was characterized by the political unrest that culminated as a result of the Roman occupation in Judea. But really, who was Jesus? How is he the same or different than the divine figure and gentle shepherd that followers of Christianity worship today? Can the Christian faith be entirely based upon him, the historical Jesus, the real man?
