    Tadashi Research Paper

The mouse trap car called “Tadashi” was a work in progress because of the mistakes made along the way. But in the end it finally worked out to be a total success, and it got the ten points it deserved. In the beginning it seemed like a really weird design that might not make it to the end. Yet when it was put together it started to seem much more promising than expected. Of course it wasn’t the best car out there, but it made it to the goal line and that’s what really mattered. Beginning with, “Tadashi” was tested with this special string that is used to make lanyards which is called ‘Gimp Cord’. When we got the string it had a leathery texture, so it seemed questionable if it would work or not. The string was wrapped around 15 times around the axis, and it seemed to be doing fine stay around the axis. When it was initiated the car went terribly wrong. The time was not even recorded because the string was getting stuck on the axil. Instead of giving up on the idea, some oil was added to the string to see if it would be any better. It did make a few feet, but only with some “encouraging” pushes. It made a grand total of 1 minute and 50 seconds, which was very tiring to watch. The other strings weren’t that crazy of stories. The next was loose yarn string which worked much better than the lanyard string, but not as much as it could’ve. It was really slow to untangle, so it took up to 1 minute and 20 seconds. The next one that was used was a sturdy string that was made of wool…
