apparently did way better than I thought I did though because a year later I was starting college at UCA with a full ride scholarship. I decided to go with the more “practical” career so I majored in psychology and minored in music. I wish I would have gone with my gut and majored in music. I would be a lot more happy. My freshman year I hardly had any free time. I was almost always studying for an exam or practicing my music. If I wasn’t in the band hall or studying at the library, I was working to pay for my bills. I had always been fairly independent. In high school I bought my first car myself after saving all my money for almost three years and always paid my own insurance and phone bill. A couple of my friends and I decided to rent an apartment together instead of staying in the dorm rooms. I started going out more often and stopped stressing so much. It was actually better for me in my studies because without as much stress it was easier to remember what I needed to. My senior year of college, I graduated with honors. I should have been happy about it, but I wasn’t. About halfway through that year I had realized that I didn’t want to do psychology, but I had come too far to change my major. I decided if I wasn’t going to do what I wanted to do then I would do what…

Benihana’s concept is based on an authentic Japanese atmosphere. The use of American food favourites (chicken, steak, etc.) combined with the “Hibachi” method of presentation makes this restaurant very different from others. Benihana enhances the experience of their customers by treating the chef as a showman and having a different production line to service (ibid.). The front stage is the largest part of the operations with the chef cooking and serving the dishes together with the waiter,…

My next, and most frequent, interaction with the Asian culture was through visiting Asian themed and owned restaurants. Upon entering, the hostess greeted us with a big smile. The atmosphere was perfect for a date night or even just a family dinner. Lawson and I decided to sit at the hibachi. Since…

As I was looking through the menu, Wasabi has a great variety of sushi, steak, desserts and maki which is exactly like sushi but wrapped in seaweed. The chef went around the table asking what everyone wanted to eat, when it came to my turn I got the hibachi chicken and shrimp with steamed rice and noodles. As he started cooking he lit a tower of onions on fire and threw an egg on top of it and started mixing it all together with rice. After he did some cool tricks with the food and throwing it…
