Throughout the duration of the film Coraline, Director and creator Henry Selick, was able to create a heavily symbolic film which was able to explore multiple symbols and themes through the eyes of a young 11 year old girl named Coraline. Coraline (2009) is a stop-motion film which follows the adventures of young girl moving into a new apartment who goes by the name of Coraline. It whilst moving to this apartment where Coraline faces some issues with her parents and begins imagining life in a different way. Coincidentally Coraline is lead to an incredible parallel world which is found behind a small door in her new home.
