    For my final write up, I will be talking about interesting adaptions of the Great Blue Heron. From my research, I found that Great Blue Herons are foragers. They usually hunt alone, and can be found across much of the United States. The Great Blue Heron is the largest of the North American herons and can live up to 17 years of age. This species is often seen wading slowly through shallow areas of water, or standing absolutely still, staring into the water for prey such as fish and frogs. In flight, the Great Blue Heron is able to fold its neck into an “S” shape while trailing its long legs behind, which is the adaption that I will be focusing on.
