The new Ottawa Art Gallery is a perfect fit for Elle Canada audiences. The gallery is proudly helmed by an almost all-female staff, including a woman director, chief financial officer, and chief of staff. It also boasts an all-female curatorial team. I’ve included more information about the inaugural exhibition below, but it’s also worth noting that the new gallery is also an exciting contemporary beacon in the heart of the downtown Ottawa. Designed by KPMB, it is the first P3 Visual arts build in Canada and is part of a multi-use development that also incorporates an exciting private sector mixed-use residential complex, Arthaus condominiums by DevMcGill, and a boutique hotel by Groupe Germain Hotels. Please let me know if you’re interested in doing a feature on the gallery. If you don’t have a stringer in Ottawa, we are happy to send you high-res photos from the inaugural exhibition or opening gala for your consideration, as well as coordinate phone interviews with either the curators or Alexandra Badzak, Director and CEO. Looking forward to hearing from you. Best, Andrea New Ottawa Art Gallery to Open with Landmark Regional Arts Retrospective The new Ottawa Art Gallery will open to the public on April 28th.
