….. Of Life, Taker of Souls People say that the eyes are the windows to the soul, if only they that really meant. If someone is lying, looking a person in they eye will allow to to see right through them. If a person is hurt, sad, or even heart broken, all you have to do is make eye contact to know what they are feeling. The same is for people who are are in love, happy, and glad. The eyes show and see all. But this is only a small part of what I can see when I look someone in the eyes. In the distance, thunder echoed, causing people to look around in concern for rain. Dark clouds over looked the town, making little children constantly duck inside whenever they felt a drop of water. There were no stars out tonight, and the moon shone faintly behind a haze of clouds. A gentle breeze swished through the small town, causing smoke from surrounding torches to fly into the faces of unsuspecting people . Soft music filled the air, giving it a sariel feeling. Couples danced together in rhythm to the music, but it was all I could do to not grimace in discomfort as I danced. We were swaying gently from side to side in tune with the music, her hands on my shoulders, and my palms on her hips. Hardly a single word had been exchanged between us throughout the entire song. She kept on trying to make eye contact but I would not so much as look at her. This is my least favorite way to dance, so near another human being. It puts my face way too close to people, and that usually doesn…

“The largest pond is as sensitive to atmospheric changes as the globule of mercury in its tube.” This comparison of sensitivity brings in perspective how vulnerable the large pond is. A massive pond is being compared to a globule of mercury in its tube. Thoreau chose the word globule to really emphasize the smallness of this drop of mercury. When looked into the science behind “a globule of mercury”, one can find that the phrase is significant in this text because the globule of mercury takes…

After starting out as a nebula, there is two different ways it can start to form. One way is when the nebula collapses and turns into a protostar. A protostar is a small mass of gas that is the beginning of star. When the protostar reaches ten million degrees in its core, it creates nuclear energy and pressure. As energy builds up inside the Protostar, the pressure creates photons. A photon carries electromagnetic radiation and energy. As a result, gravity is formed. When the production of…

explanation of animal secretion into two sections: In the first section, he explains how the fluids to be secreted come to be formed, through the postulation of attractive forces; influenced by the Newtonian approach of Pitcairne and, probably, Cheyne. In the second section, he demonstrates how the fluids are separated from the blood in the glands. Using empirical evidence provided by microscopic observations, Keill claims that blood is composed of two kinds of particles: red globules and some…

between the two phases of the emulsion, because during the maturation process, the emulsifier move the proteins out of the fat/water interface, which weakens the membrane and promotes destabilization of the fat. Agglomerated fat globules, formed due to destabilization, aid in the stabilization of the air/water interface, leading to the formation of a smoother product with good melting properties. 3.4 Determination of resistance to melting of ice cream Table 8 shows the data of the melt…

The effect of the mixing speed on nickel extraction was presented in the figure (9). It was observed from figure (8), that increasing in nickel extraction percentage was observed to be very fast for all tested rpm at the end of first 2 min. After that time, changes in the percentage of nickel extraction were not sharp. In general, it was observed that the nickel extraction percentage was increased with increasing in mixing speed due to the large surface area of ELM. The increasing mixing speed…
