Hello Dr Buxbaum, Below is my weekly update for this week from 3rd Aug '16 to 5th Aug '16. 1) FMR1 5-choice training: - At the end of the 6th week of the Fmr1 rat training, we have one rat that will be presented with the challenge trials in the upcoming week. The rat running on the challenge schedules for one week performed at around 67% accuracy rate with less than 16% omissions on the baseline schedules. This performance was observed after subjecting the rat to a long ITI (8sec) schedule, a short ITI (3sec) schedule and a randomized long ITI schedule(time ranging from 5.5-9.5sec). - The challenge series for this rat would include randomized short ITI (time ranging from 0.5sec-4.5 sec) schedule, reduced stimulus (duration from 0.2sec-0.8sec) schedules and distractor (random white noise) schedule in the upcoming week. - Along with these rats that reached criterion, we have 2 rats on S8b schedule, however, there accuracy rate is around 40% with higher than 40% omissions. Difficulty in moving up and inability to perform on the set criterion may either be due to deficit in the attention or could be due to variation in the rats performance. We will run these on the S8 schedule in the upcoming week to find out whether we see any improvement or the rats are unable to perform well even after long exposure to the schedule. - In addition, 6 rats on S7b schedule are performing at 66% accuracy and have varying omissions; though the average omission rate is less than 25%. The 3…

I have to say that I secretly love the "Cadillac Tax" backed by the current Obama regime. In fact I think all conservatives should feel the same way. Why? Because it is one of the best examples of how bad this health care idea really is. Think about it, how often do you see the big labor unions and the rich and the middle class all upset about something? When that happens you know it has to be a bad deal. Of course the scary thing is that it is also one of the best examples of how this current…

demonstrated early innovations and lyrical expansion. George Harrison wrote this piece beginning in 1968, although was not finished until the following year. Harrison wrote “Something” on the piano during a recording of the White Album when the band had some downtime to finish some personal matters. The song’s first line comes from an opening lyric in “Something In The Way She Moves” by James Taylor; throughout the piece Harrison referenced various sources as his inspiration. After Harrison…

At first, he is bored and dull, no better than one of the "sheep" he makes fun of. Later, as he watches McMahon, the butcher, "Patting his mouth and looking after them, sizing up their joints,”Sammy begins to sympathize with the girls. Then when Lengel scolds the girls and falsely tells them that it's store policy that they have to have their shoulders covered, Sammy realizes, "That's policy for you. The Beatles mostly sang about peace and love, experimenting with different concepts on the subject and various instruments. George Harrison introduced the sitar in some of their later albums. Originally, they started as a simple pop band and eventually grew and developed into a rock and roll band. Most of their fan base was composed of teenage girls, while the Rolling Stones attracted every one of every age. They would have to think of creative and clever ways to sneak lyrics about sex and drugs…

That thing in the Dumpster--and he refused to call it human, let alone a baby--was nobody's business but his and China's. That's what he'd told his attorney, Mrs. Teagues, and his mother and her boyfriend, and he'd told them over and over again: I didn't do anything wrong. Even if it was alive, and it was, he knew in his heart that it was, even before the state prosecutor represented evidence of blunt-force trauma and death by asphyxiation and exposure, it didn't matter, or shouldn't have…
