To start with my weaker clues, a roll of duct tape was found soon after the murder in the trash can. Now we know on the evening of June 17th, 1972, Mr. Frank Wills came across something suspicious in the DNC headquarters. A piece of duct tape on the door lock to prevent the door from locking shut. Wills removed the tape but noticed even more on his second round of the DNC, pushing him to call the police. This discovery lead to the investigation of 5 men found that night, leading into the investigation of Watergate. Although you may think this is incriminating for somebody directly involved in the Watergate scandal such as G. Gordon Liddy, it could really be traced back to anybody obsessed enough with the scandal to do their dirty work the same way Nixon did his. Which is why I believe the duct tape belonged to Anderson, a man so obsessed with taking Nixon down, he wanted to follow in Nixon’s footsteps and take him down the same way Nixon planned to take down the democrats.
