Mold can spread and grow anywhere in a home or business as long as there is oxygen and moisture present. Mold releases spores that can center your home through windows, vents, and doorways. It can also be brought into a home by attaching to clothing or a pet. Mold is most commonly found in basements that have been flooded, underneath or behind refrigerators, and underneath kitchen and bathroom sinks. In fact, it may be possible that your home has hundreds or even thousands of spores within one cubic foot of air inside your home. Your Health Mold spores that grow in a damp or moist area will begin to grow quickly and produce allergens, irritants, and potentially toxic substances. Living in an environment that is infested with mold can bring new, or worsen current health effects.
