I would hear the military music playing and there was something about the sound that was in terms comforting, happiness, sadness and inspirational. I serve this nation for which everything it stands. The Star-Spangled Banner is not only the song and flag is American history that resonates with me in different ways and reasons ("Story Behind the Star Spangled Banner," 2007). Thinking back to when I would hear my father sing the song “America the Beautiful” I now know it was used in an associated manner to relief stress.
