    Adele Adkins was born May 5, 1988, in North London, England. She was raised by her mother, Penny Adkins, a woman who loved the arts. Penny, gave birth to Adele when she was only eighteen years of age. Adele’s father, Mark, unfortunately left Adele and her mother when she was only four years old. He was never married to Penny, and even after leaving, he attempted to be somewhat apart of his daughter’s life through communication up into her teens. Mark’s struggling addiction with alcohol eventually caused his relationship with his daughter to completely disintegrate.
