Through out The Shattering by Karen Healy there have been both intense and emotional searches. Three of the main searches are the overall search the murderer of Keri, Janna and Sione’s brothers. As well as Sione’s search for who he truly is especially now after his brothers death and Janna’s search for love. The first search is a very obvious one and is the main theme of the book. It is the search for Keri, Janna and Sione’s brother’s murderers. This search has been going on for about five…
Though Blur’s Parklife is critically acclaimed, the album is honestly just general Britpop, and it's really nothing special. Not only does it draw most of its sounds from the likes of David Bowie and the Beatles, the overall sound of the album really didn't have any cohesion. Instead of the album having one similar tone that flows throughout, or two tones with a transition in the middle that actually makes sense, Parklife is just a collection of songs that would probably sound better together if…
refraction or a combination of these two. When arranged regularly on a single substrate they form a microlens array. In order to be considered a good quality lens, microlenses must have qualities such as to low wavefront aberrations, consistency of focal length and pitch across the array, durability and low price. (Daly 2001) Microlens arrays have several applications, such as CCD arrays, digital projectors, photocopiers, mobile-phone cameras, 3D imaging, displays and light field photography.…
For the line shot I chose a vertical line. I saw that m railing had vertical lines and the curtain next to it did as well. So as I shoot this I make sure that I get all the vertical lines into the shot. Next is the depth of field shot. This was my favorite shot, I just loved the way the camera would focus in and out and doing that was changing the depth of the shot. I used the pen I was using for my homework and sat it on a book and put them inside of a bookshelf. I moved it many angles to show…
Cousin Lymon has proven himself to be a sociable person who enjoys entertaining the town's people with his tales. He is an attention seeker who lives the life to the fullest and enjoys being the center of activity at the cafe. people will be inspired to see the need for change and reform. Any way you look at it this documentary its goal is to have a number of implications to help combat hunger and benefit the national welfare of the country and its health. Jeff Bridges also points out boldly “that if another country was doing this to our kids we would be at war.” This quote says it all that not enough is being done to vocalize the hunger in this nation so therefor there hasn’t been any ethical implications take place…
struggle with recognizing talent is I’m nervous that sometimes I take too much of a person approach to front line employees. To elaborate on that point, I mean in the “back and forth communication” it would become clear quickly who is taking his or her job seriously, and who the person is I go to when I need something done quickly and correctly. My reason to point these examples out is to say that I can recognize who is good at their job but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are talented and…
tried to point them to Jesus, it never occurred to me that it was something that I should do. Another reason why I believe that this is a weakness is because I myself am not yet to the point where I am comfortable talking about my own faith. So if I am not even comfortable/struggling with my own faith how could I truly lead others to Jesus? One way to help myself in this area is to constantly ask myself the question that Houser states, “Are you doing what you’re doing in order to point others to…
His voice frequently comes off as unyieldingly harsh in its opinions, despite his seeming unwillingness to commit to his opinions, to the point that it can become condescending. When referring in an example to a student he once had who wrote about her parent’s divorce, he described it as an essay “we’ve all read”, divorcing her of true ownership and concluding that the only benefit such an…
Before I mention three points that I saw as important, I would like to say thank you for presenting this summary to the class. I’ve order the book, because I feel that Fullan ushered in some very valuable concepts that will benefit me as I move forward in a new phase of my career as an administrator. The first important point for me from this summary of Michael Fullan’s book by Jenn David-Lang in The Main Idea, were the four wrong policy drivers. I agree with Fullan in that a principal needs…
