    Dizziness, confusion, hallucinations, tiredness, blurred vision, and paranoia; these are only a few of the possible symptoms that can come from a drink being contaminated with Rohypnol (the most commonly used date rape drug) and other drugs. In other words, a drink that has been spiked. There are times when we are so caught up in having a good time that we tend to overlook what is happening right under our noses. Many college campuses all around the country have experienced the unfortunate events of drinks being spiked. For those who may not exactly know what I am talking about, let me explain it to you. According to Alcoholrehab.com, “Drink spiking is when a drug or alcohol is added to a drink without the persons’ knowledge.” This has been a serious point of an issue all around our country. In many cases, students go out to parties and are more focused on what is happening around them rather than what is going into them. Once a drink has been laced with some form of a drug and is considered spiked, many people may not even realize it, they may not know what to do, or even be conscious enough to realize what will or can happen. There are many precautions to take, warning signs to look for, long term effects, and ways to help others if their drink was spiked. This is a serious issue that can lead to many other serious problems such as injuries, rape, or even death. This should not be taken as a joke or to have the mindset that it would not happen to you or someone you may know…
