Finnegans Wake

The creation of the United States had to start with someone migrating to the North American continent. So my question is why is America, a country made up of immigrants, so xenophobic of Mexican immigrants? Xenophobia is the intense or irrational dislike or fear of people from other countries. I don 't believe all Americans are xenophobic but, a good amount of this country is.
