Roller derby When I first started derby, I got killed. Girls from ages from 10-17 years old were crashing into me. I was 10 and had no skill at all. At practice we had to wear a lot. I had black Riedell skates, a blue helmet and mouthguard. I also had normal knee and elbow pads and wrist guards. The first few practices were difficult and I fell a lot.
