    I remember it was my previous winter break when I was back in hometown - Hong Kong. I was on my way home from the airport and this massive breathtaking advertisement was hanging right at the exit of the tunnel, which it magnetized my eyes till it gradually faded out from my sight. The white panther creature is very rare to see. And this is how I discovered this powerful, wild, precise Panther clip brooch. I can say with pleasure that it has become one of my favorite pieces. The Panther clip brooch is made for a glamorous woman, the Duchess of Windsor, a great fan of Cartier by Jeanne Toussaint at Paris in 1949. Toussaint, who became Cartier's director of high jewelry in 1933, it perhaps best known for breathing life into the house's panther emblem, which first came about when Louis Cartier, grandson of founder Louis-Francois Cartier, commissioned an illustration from artist George barrier for an exhibition invitation card in 1914. A few years later, Toussaint placed the panther motif into a three-dimensional brooch, paved entirely in precious stones, set atop on a huge 152.35 carat sapphire cabochon. Newspaper at the time called it the "atomic bomb of jewelry". This imposing feline is omnipresent at Cartier, whether in its sculptured forms or in spirit, started after the war.
