    thing that ever happened to me. I never understood why she left me. I mean, sure I robbed 15 banks and 50% of my money was robbed, but that never seemed to bother her. I guess it did. All I know is I’m alone in this huge world living in a junk town in Cleveland. Although getting passed the border without a passport was easier than I thought it would. It was hard don’t get me wrong, but it wasn’t impossible. As I look back to when I moved to America illegally all I see is Maria and her beautiful face. It was 1995 and afternoon the day I actually crossed the border. I was traveling from Mexico City. It was torture walking for 24 days on foot and I couldn’t drive a car because the police were looking for me. Who wouldn’t, I’m on the most wanted list in Mexico. The weather was like a steaming fajita and I could barely feel my feet as I dragged on. I can still hear the police sirens in my head as I got closer and closer to the border. When I finally reached it the time was around 6:00 p.m. and it wasn’t any colder out. I travelled with a duffel bag filled with $50k for food and other living purposes. I needed that money so I could make a living before I got a job. I used the money to get a taxi and take a flight all the way to Cleveland, Ohio. ✥ ✥ ✥ “ER, ER, ER!” It was 5:45 as my alarm clock went off signaling it was time for work.
