First Website: www.factcheck.org This is personally one of my most frequented websites because of the last election period. Factcheck.org is one of the oldest fact checking websites on the Internet today. Since starting in 2003, the website has made it a part of their mission statement to “increase public knowledge and understanding” so that viral and false rumors don’t run rampant in our society. It’s fair to say that because of their transparency the website is very credible and couldn’t be swayed by any money coming from political interest groups. Another reason why factcheck.org is generally unbiased is because they focus on a range of different people in the political atmosphere like presidential candidates, presidents, members of Congress, etc. Because of this range, the website mostly reviews their TV ads, debates, speeches, interviews, and anything released on the news. Nobody is safe from fact checking no matter what side of the political spectrum they land. Of course, this election year has been an exception. The website has been working double time to report…
