People often give others labels. Labeling someone is usually an attempt to predict what would a person be like later in their life based on observing their current characteristics. 1. How are you doing on your plan? I would say my self confidence has improved. I have performed well when given a blank treatment plan and needing to come up with one on the spot when treating a patient for the first time. I have learned to just my "gut instinct" when it comes to therapeutic exercises or activities, because when I second guess myself it causes me to lose confidence in myself. At the end of each day, we (me and whichever OT I am with that day) digest how the day went, the…
If I may be candid, after reading this book written by Petersen (2015) he opened my eyes on a lot of skills that I thought I had mastered, but now I know this is not the case. Furthermore, I have fallen into several of the traps that Petersen talks about in the book. I realize that even in my personal life I fall into the trap of having the Flat Head Syndrome.
