Tyson’s former manager claimed that he saw it coming and there was no way anyone could prevent it. He adds in an interview, "The only reason he may not go down as the best is because of his ­weakness for women. Every decision he made was around women. I definitely saw it coming and no one in the world could prevent that" (Godden). Rory Holloway has been a friend of Tyson’s since they were teenagers. He asserted that he could of have been the foremost boxer of all time if not for weakness for women (Godden). After Tyson was released from prison, he endeavored to reclaim his heavyweight title. During a match with Evander Holyfield, who at the time was the champion, Tyson’s anger overpowered him, causing him to bite off part of Holyfield’s ear (“Biography”). This incident just bolded Tyson’s name on the naughty list. His name was thrown around all over the world for being dangerous and vicious. Because of the event, Tyson was shunned by the boxing community for over two years (“Mike Tyson”). His status was hurt by the negative pictures and articles being published about him. Even though Tyson has made many mistakes, he has tried hard to redeem himself. He wrote a book so people would have a better understanding on how the way he grew impacted his choices in his later life.
