    Have you ever been beaten, bruised, and chained to something in a dark basement? If you answered “yes” to the previous question, then congratulations! If you answered “no”, then you need to get out more. Today, I am here to discuss music for the eighty-three billionth time. So let’s get on with it. Let me introduce our two composers. First, we have Claude Debussy. And next, there is Igor Stravinsky. Now, you might be thinking, “Why did our history lesson start off with a question about chains?” Well, if you have ever seen a chain, then you will know that it is tough and highly durable. Although, it can be broken with enough strength. I am not, however, here to speak about the physical chain; but rather, I am going to focus on the metaphorical chain. What does a metaphorical chain have to do with music? Everything. A lot of musicians follow a pattern when composing and making music. Music is a great thing, but it tends to repeat itself quite often. That is why musicians need to break off the chain of music and stand out from the crowd, which is just what Debussy and Stravinsky did. Now, since this is our last music lesson together, and since we have already discussed so many composers throughout our allotted time, I thought that I would do something special for today.
