A nursing advisor even told me my chances of getting in were slim to none. I prayed every night from the time I applied to when I got the acceptance or rejection letter. I had 10 points toward my application whereas most of my peers had at least 13. I had left UT, moved to a city where I knew absolutely nobody, and risked everything I had for the letter I received on October 6, 2015. My eyes opened as I hit the ground. I read over it again and it said the exact same word. Scorching tears ran down my face as I cried with such relief and joy that caused passerby’s to give me some pretty funny looks. I was ignorant to the world around me in that moment. For those…

being a hero there is always a cost you have to pay, but does the safety of others always outweigh the costs? The purpose is to remove the other sperm by a cortical granule reaction, specifically by raising of the vitelline envelope. There are thousands of granules beneath the cell membrane that are similar to the granules in the acrosome of sperm. They will fuse with the membrane when Ca2+ is released from the ER within the egg.
