    out after hearing that inspirational pep talk and wins the game. This inspired Americans everywhere. On October 18, 1924 two legendary games occurred on two different fields. The Galloping Ghost was a junior by the name of Harold Grange. Grange was your average player, but this one game changed everything. During that game Grange made four touchdowns. After twelve minutes they were leading 27-0 against the other team. Another extraordinary group that many football fans in 1920 knew were The Four Horsemen. This game took place on the same day as The Galloping Ghost. During this time Notre Dame’s Backfields were not the strongest they have ever been. By halftime of that game the score was 6-0. The senior boys names were Jim Crowley, Elmer Layden, Don Miller, and Harry Stuhldreher. The boys were put into a news clipping for their astonishing job in the game. In the clipping they were referred to us The Four Horsemen. Roy Riegels was a center for the University of California. On their game against Georgia Tech something fascinating happen. The score was 0-0 in the second quarter. The ball falls out of the hands of the opposing team and Riegels picked up the ball quickly. He then turned and started running. Not knowing he started running at full speed towards his own goal. The crowd screamed for him to stop while a player name Lom chased after him.
