    The book I read was The Green Glass Sea by Ellen Klages. It was published by Penguin Group in 2006. There are 318 pages of the story, and it is set from 1943 to 1945 during WWII. Although The Green Glass Sea is a fictional book, the setting and historical events are not. All of the main characters and their friends/family are fictional. This is a book about two girls who move to an army base with their parents during the war. They don't know each other at first, but they know of each other.
