The truth in ambition lies within the will of a person, as shown by all of the characters and people mentioned in each section. However, the way the character or person acts upon the ambition that they present themselves with is where “ambition” can obtain its connotation. As seen by the actions of Okonkwo and John, an ambitious personality can become reckless and incur a level of selfishness within one. Adversely, with proper control and management of oneself, success is the breath that ambition breathes, as shown through Marcus Aurelius, Steve Jobs and Pope Francis. Though, through the events of both John and Okonkwo's lives, their situations seem like special cases where ambition got the better of them, especially in Okonkwo's. The man had a poor upbringing, a harsh look on life, and nearly lost his life to a tradition that was against him at all odds. Things Fall Apart appears to show that ambition is what starts wars between people rather than to succeed. While this claim can hail to be true, Okonkwo's case seems to be the most unlikely to be encountered, which sensationalizes the impact that Things Fall Apart reveals itself to have. The occurrence within the story is a worst case scenario that ruins several lives. The buildup of this ambition has next to no payoff within the story at all, and it id through Okonkwo that the whole story itself falls from grace. His ambition should…

any random person on the street, and ask them the simple question, what is a computer? They would just smile, briefly chuckle, and continue on their way. Trust me, I have done that several times before, and spoiler alert, they all ended that way. I believe there are two reasons for this. The first, is that they know what a computer really is and think you are joking and therefore move on with their lives. The second, is that they don’t have a clue what a computer really is and try to hide this…
