    His son was more inspired by open air exercises than working on his studies. From my research, I learn that Sargent earliest experiences in art lend him to watercolor that played a significant role in how his technique shaped to a form that calls it his own. He took an interest in art because of his mother. His mother provided her son with all the basic art materials he needed to become an artist. Mary watched how much process John was making in his abilities to draw, so she had written one of the relatives an said " He sketches quite nicely, & has a remarkable quick and correct eye."1 At the age of thirteen years old his first art instructions came into view in 1868 and that's when Carl Welsch gave him watercolor lessons. In spite of the fact that his training was a long way from finish, Sargent grew up to be a very proficient young fellow, fulfilled in writing, craftsmanship, music. John Sargent Singer was also fluent in three different types of languages such as German, French, and Italian. After two years he want to a school called Accademia Delle Belle Art in Italy to take some classes. When he was eighteen year old he went to studied under Carolus-Duran, and that’s how he developed into a genre and master painter. Sargent went to take a exam in 1874 on his first attempt he had gain access to get into École des Beaux-Arts a school that is located in France.
