Lyndon was born in Texas on august 27, 1908 his family had settled prior to the Civil War. He was born in a nearby town called Johnson City. His father was a rancher and part time politician, but Lyndon did not inherit the family’s ranching talent. Which caused Lyndon to run into finical difficulty losing the family ranch at an early teenage year. Just east of the Brazos River, lies the land now known as Sugar Land. It was originally owned by the Mexican government and was acquired by Stephen F.
