Did you hear about the old abandoned house in Berwick Pennsylvania? Well I have, I heard it from my best friend's, friend's dead uncle, John. He said it started a long time ago in a library. The library was brand new, just built. John was 16 years old and was heading towards the library to find a nonfiction book about Pennsylvania's history for a research project. When he entered the library he felt something strange, but he didn't know what was making him feel this way. He went to the nonfiction section to look for a book to get the assignment done. The book he found was called Pennsylvania's History. Set aside it's boring name, it looked very ancient. When John picked it up he got an eerily feeling, like the one he got when he walked into the building. He wanted to put it back on the shelf , but an urge went through his body to get the book. He went to check it out and left the area immediately, not knowing of the disaster the book will cause. Later, that night he wanted to read his book, but he couldn't find it anywhere! He looked for hours, head to toe around his house for the book, but he still couldn't find it. So instead of worrying about it, he decided to sleep on it, hoping to find it in the morning. A few hours later, at about 11:00 pm, John awoke to a startle by the sound of an object falling. John quickly turned on the light and looked where the sound came from. A few minutes later he found it on the floor by his desk, the book. Then, without and thought he…

Hamlet’s actions throughout the play support this deceitful nature. His dual personalities are the foundation of his madness. There are many examples that illustrate how Hamlet’s deceitful nature results in a tragedy because of his inability to choose which role to play.      In Act One, Hamlet appears to be very straightforward in his actions and his role. When his mother questions him, Hamlet says, "Seems, madam? Nay it is. I know not…

“What law, you ask, do I satisfy with what I say?”—The Unwritten Law The title heroine’s famous defense speech in lines 995-1005 of Antigone has prompted the view that the play is extremely enigmatic. It is a passage that has been read with astonishment and demands detailed explanation. In her speech, Antigone provides what appears to be a reason for her burying her brother Polynices against the orders of her uncle and King, Creon. Antigone claims, however, that she would not have deliberately…

The smell of dead fish and fried dumplings engulfed my nostrils as I ventured off into a foreign territory. I was then immediately bombarded with musty, humid air and noticeably large advertisements hanging above my head, all written in Chinese. Then, as I was walking with my head towards the sky, taking in my surroundings, I was abruptly stopped by a man, whom was slender and of Asian descent. He shoved a catalogue, that had listings of different counterfeit purses, into my hands and motioned…

For my experiential learning experiences I had the pleasure of visiting both the Ahtanum Ridge Clinic and the Yakima Valley Regional Hospital medical records. Before visiting these facilities I constructed questions beforehand to ensure I would not only have a valuable experience, but be able to compare facilities as well. These questions were; 1. What is something about the system you deal with that you know but not many other people you come in contact with know? 2. How has the change between…
