Trouble; A Bad Case of Stripes; and Duck on a Bike. These five stories were all very unique with their own plot line. Here is a quick summary of the stories before I talk about them. In the book How Georgie Radbourn Saved Baseball, David takes us on a journey of what it would be like if baseball was banned from the United States. It shows you that no matter what you do, you have to fight for what you believe in no matter what anyone else thinks. The second book is called, Good Boy Fergus! This book shows the life of owning a dog. It shows you the ups and downs of owning a pet and the responsibility that comes with it. The third book that I chose to read was called David Gets In Trouble. This book is about how a young boy cannot seem to do anything right. He can’t stay out of trouble no matter what he does. It’s a lesson that at the end of the day no matter how good or bad you are, your parents will love you for who you are. The fourth book that I chose to read by David Shannon was called A Bad Case of Stripes. This book was one of my favorites because of the uniqueness in the plot. It’s about a young girl who doesn’t want to be made fun of because she liked lima beans and the other kids didn’t. She turns into a stripe machine all over her body because of how insecure she was. In the end, it teaches kids that they need to be themselves and not worry about what other people think of them. The last book that I chose to read is called A Duck on A Bike.
