piece of valuable land that could be the tipping point of the power in Europe. In order to achieve the peace that Europe craves I have ranked the countries based on their decisions of Poland in the following way: Austria, Britain, Russia, Prussia, France. Austria proposes that “The only solution is to return to the partition of 1793…”. Returning to the Partition of 1793, it would restore Polish territories to the original owners and balance the the power in Eastern Europe. ( Hill). I believe that this is the best possibility because, Poland is too big of a country to give to one King, balance must come in the form of equal land acquisition. Poland would be left defenseless because as Britain mentioned, they are impartial because of their geography. Russia felt they deserved Poland because they burnt their own land, which helped defeat Napoleon. I feel as though that Russia burnt their own land to save themselves, not aid their “allies”. Also Russia can not have Poland because then Russia would have more power than the other countries. Prussia, was okay that Russia got Poland because they got one third of Saxony with Russia’s help. France is in last place because they did not mention Poland, and they do not deserve to have any decision on what is to happen with Poland. Peace is the only objective and…

Born January 25, 1913 in Warsaw, Poland, Witold Lutoslawski is one of Poland’s most celebrated composers. The whole of Polish music would not be what it is today if it not were for the passion and dedication of Lutoslawski. The youngest of three sons, Lutoslawski started life at his family’s estate in Drozodowo. Life was good to the family for a time, until, as true for many at the time, World War I interrupted. As German troops invaded Poland, Lutoslawski’s father and uncle, Jozef and Marian,…

Marie Curie once said, “Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be misunderstood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.” Marie Curie, a female rights activist who fought to not be ridiculed for her intelligence as it did not match her gender, justified that you do not need to be a man to be able to discover something that is helpful and key.
