During my time at IHOP I observed some very interesting things about todays society. Before I entered the establishment I noticed a happy family returning to their car. So I made the assumption that these observations would all be the same because of possibly of great service and environment. I was gravely mistaken. If placing a dollar in a bouncer’s hand could get a better seat at a concert, the spare change wouldn’t be very hard to part with, would it? Unless the individual were extremely thirsty and needed that dollar to buy a drink, it most likely wouldn’t happen either. Using a larger bill, such as a twenty, would give a real shot of making that wish come true; which is exactly what Tom Chiarella explained throughout his article “The $20 Theory of the Universe.” As a man who considers himself as a…

In retrospect, I remember opening the refrigerator and was about to take a sip of that red bull. Out of nowhere I heard someone called my name really loud; “Leeeee!”. My father was the one who yelled at me and quickly took the red bull away from my hand. Even until this day, I never knew why he took away the away and won’t let me drink it. I always thought he yelled at me because he was attempting to protect his drink from me; from drinking it. As I grew up, taking health class made me realized…
