How to ruin a child In the article it’s told that “the theory that praise, self-esteem and accomplishment increase in tandem is false” (George F. Will). Which is why some children soccer teams stopped counting goals and shower trophies on everyone, or that they even in physical education classes’ students are jump roping without rope. He says children are jumping rope without ropes because of self-esteem obsession and the list goes on, such as opening lunchboxes to find handwritten notes telling how amazing they are can lead to encountering academic difficulties. That overpraised children are prone to cheating because they have not developed strategies for coping with failure all because we put them in “high-pressure environments” such as seeking out the best schools and constant praise. He also says driver’s ed teaches the rules of the road and mechanics but teenagers are in fatal crashes twice the rate of others because of poor decisions, not poor skills. It encourages them to take a step further in whatever they are doing. I know as a child I was always delighted when my parents praised me for my work. A good example is I love to play chess, I have played chess since the second grade and my special interest supervisor always came to our school on Friday and we usually do many things but one thing…

Draw a monster. Now, why is it a monster? My own mother was probably the best mother she could be.
