    the word rede means to counsel or to advise and also can mean explanation or to explain, and it is old english where the first known use was before the 12th century. the word Rede also has been seen as Old Saxon rad, Dutch raad, German Rat, Old Norse rao, all with the same meaning to counsel or to advise. Some famous redes are The Wiccan Rede, The Norse Rede of Honour , In modded times the word rede has been replaced with the word ethics, which is a moral stander that a person or a group of people fallow. Like in America it would be condensed unethical to lets say eat a dog, but in other parts of the rule this is a common behavior.
