    state the identity that describes us, and captures other individual’s attention. Identifying ourselves has changed from stating our personality traits to race to sexual orientation and more, and that is why I truly believe that our generation is progressing and is more acceptable to speak up about their identities more than before. The “Who am I” article really resonated with me, especially when they started to talk about the differences between dominate and subordinates. Typically, in Saudi Arabia, the dominate group would be anyone with a higher status per your last name, we would also marry each other based on the last name’s status. That is very normal in our culture and anyone who does not obey that is considered beneath that status and automatically is looked down upon. Even worse, in our culture the dominate group must be categorized wealthy, male, beard, has more houses and cars than a subordinate does. The dominate group in the culture would not even talk to the subordinate, but after trying to educate some of the dominate individuals, I have found that most individuals who were understanding of the subordinate’s position were from the newer generations than old ones. I believe that after gaining more knowledge from the leading diversity class, I wish to spread this knowledge onto other people from my culture and other cultures.
